* **LAUNCHDARKLY\_SDK\_KEY** `string` : LaunchDarkly SDK Key. The server-side SDK key for the LaunchDarkly environment receiving telemetry, available in Project settings > Environments.
  * This field is required

> [!TIP]
>
> Enable Observability in your LaunchDarkly account before adding this destination.
> Use the server-side SDK key from the LaunchDarkly environment receiving telemetry.
> Odigos sends OTLP over HTTPS to `https://otel.observability.app.launchdarkly.com` on port 443 and sets the `launchdarkly.project_id` resource attribute for you.
> See [LaunchDarkly's OpenTelemetry configuration](https://launchdarkly.com/docs/sdk/features/opentelemetry-server-side#setting-resource-attributes).

### Adding Destination to Odigos

There are two primary methods for configuring destinations in Odigos:

##### **Using the UI**

**Step 1**

Use the [Odigos CLI](https://docs.odigos.io/cli/odigos_ui.md) to access the UI

```bash theme={null}
odigos ui
```

**Step 2**

Click on `Add Destination`, select `LaunchDarkly` and follow the on-screen instructions

##### **Using Kubernetes manifests**

**Step 1**

Save the YAML below to a file (e.g. `launchdarkly.yaml`)

```yaml theme={null}
apiVersion: odigos.io/v1alpha1
kind: Destination
metadata:
  name: launchdarkly-example
  namespace: odigos-system
spec:
  data: {}
  destinationName: launchdarkly
  secretRef:
    name: launchdarkly-secret
  signals:
  - TRACES
  - METRICS
  - LOGS
  type: launchdarkly
---
apiVersion: v1
data:
  LAUNCHDARKLY_SDK_KEY: <Base64 LaunchDarkly SDK Key>
kind: Secret
metadata:
  name: launchdarkly-secret
  namespace: odigos-system
type: Opaque
```

**Step 2**

Apply the YAML using `kubectl`

```bash theme={null}
kubectl apply -f launchdarkly.yaml
```
