# Usage report

Odigos sends non-sensitive, non-personally identifiable information to our system.
This information helps Odigos maintainers to understand how the open-source community runs Odigos and
improve the project.

### Disabling the report

#### Using helm chart

When installing Odigos using helm chart, you can disable the report by setting `telemetry.enabled` to `false`.

#### Using CLI

When installing Odigos using CLI, you can disable the report by setting `--telemetry` to `false`.

### What is being reported

Odigos collects the following anonymous information:

* Are traces/metrics/logs enabled
* Selected destinations type (e.g. Jaeger, Prometheus, etc.)
* Number of instrumented applications by programming language
* Number of unrecognized applications
* Number of nodes
